Create wine storage that works with the architecture of your room. VITI Engineering designs and fabricates custom steel wine racks for homes, cellars, bars and hospitality spaces. From a linear display to a sloped rack developed around an under-stair opening, the layout starts with your collection, available space and preferred visual character.
Choose a direction for your wine display
The WR / 01 reference design uses a mild-steel frame and mesh support system to hold bottles horizontally. Its linear form is a starting point for a cellar, feature wall or private collection, with the overall size and bottle capacity developed around the brief.
The WR / 02 sculptural reference uses a sloped profile and compartment grid. It offers another direction for a dining space, cellar or under-stair installation where a rectangular rack may not suit the opening. The original VITI CAD drawings and labelled concept renders help explain these forms; the finished configuration and selected coating are confirmed for your project.
Design around the collection and the room
- Available space, including angled ceilings, skirtings and surrounding joinery.
- Desired bottle capacity and the bottle sizes you expect to store.
- A linear rack, sculptural compartment arrangement or tailored wine display.
- Finish and detailing that coordinate with the room or a home-bar scheme.
- Access, support, fixing requirements and the delivery or installation scope.
For an under-stair rack, photographs and a dimensioned sketch of the opening are particularly useful. Include the depth and any obstacles as well as the front profile. Bottle sizes and retrieval access need consideration alongside the overall appearance. If the project includes bar shelving or other fitout metalwork, describe the whole group so the finish and proportions can be coordinated.
From reference design to your quotation
Design and fabrication are coordinated from Clayton for Melbourne customers, including Toorak, South Yarra, Malvern, Berwick and Clyde. Send your suburb, approximate dimensions, target capacity, reference photos and indicative budget. We review the design direction and confirm which details need further measurements or CAD development.
The wine rack catalogue lists reference products and their stated pricing conditions. Your written quotation confirms the actual size, capacity, selected finish, delivery and any installation. A reference design or render does not settle the final fabrication and fixing specification.
Home metalwork from our project archive
The contrast between slim black steel and timber stairs is visible in this interior balustrade photograph from the VITI project archive. It is a broader home-metalwork example to discuss alongside the look of your room. Wine rack drawings and renders are identified separately, so you can distinguish existing project photography from a proposed display.

Wine rack questions
Can the rack be designed for an awkward opening?
That can be assessed from the space and intended capacity. Send the opening profile, depth, photographs and access constraints so the layout and support requirements can be discussed.
Are bottles and the room shown in renders included?
Renders illustrate a possible setting and finish. Bottles, surrounding joinery and other displayed items are not included unless expressly stated in your quotation. Completed-work photographs are identified separately from CAD and rendered concepts.
